GANANOQUE – The 1,000 Islands Gananoque Chamber of Commerce held its annual business and awards gala on November 26. Due to COVID-19, the affair was virtual and conducted online.
“In March, when we were blocked by the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a lot of uncertainty as we saw the province shut down,” Amber Scott, president of the 1,000 Islands Gananoque Chamber of Commerce, said. “And while there’s still a lot of questions about what the future will look like, we are so incredibly proud of this community who rallied around our vulnerable members and our small businesses. We had a fantastic list of nominees from all across industries and backgrounds. On behalf of the chamber, I want to first say congratulations to the nominees on your nominations and second to say thank you for your hard work and dedication to this community that we all love.”
