“Songs take on a new life when I’m on tour,” White-Gluz says. “These songs didn’t get that chance. I still had more to say with them. I probably never would’ve been like ‘let’s get a bunch of classically trained players together’ if it wasn’t for COVID-19. [This EP] was an opportunity to do something that wasn’t obvious. The new CEO, Jennifer Cohan, said, “After many conversations with LDI fellows and other stakeholders, it was clear that the organization needed some modernization. So, we got right to work and created a committee made up of passionate fellows and staff to work on how to take the LDI brand and program to new heights.” Cohan further stated, “It was very important to ensure that the new identity stay true to the deep roots of its founders.”
