Chelsea Green has returned to Impact Wrestling.
Green appeared as Matt Cardona s mystery partner at tonight s Slammiversary PPV. Green and Cardona defeated Brian Myers and Tenille Dashwood in a mixed tag match.
It has been a busy week for Green, as she also appeared on this past Sunday s Ring of Honor PPV, Best in the World. Green stated at Best in the World that she wanted to wrestle on that show, but was deemed unfit by the Maryland State Athletic Commission due to her wrist injury, originally suffered on WWE SmackDown in November 2020. Green was released by WWE on April 15, 2021.

Matt Cardona is also the real-life fiancé of Chelsea Green. It is worth noting however, that Green has also previously been teased for a match against Knockout’s Champion Deonna Purrazzo at the show. Green has also stated that she is currently unable to compete in ROH who she recently signed for, this may be a different story in Impact though. );

Chelsea Green is ready to get back in the ring, noting on Tuesday that she’s been officially cleared to do so. The WWE alumna posted to her Green with Envy podcast’s Twitter account to note that she has been cleared, writing:
“Today is a good day! After 3 surgeries on my arm, I am officially cleared to get back in the ring. Oh, how I’ve missed wrestling!!!”
Green has been out of action since November when she suffered an injury in her Smackdown debut. She was released fromo WWE in April and will be able to sign with a company in July once her no-compete clause expires. It was reported last week that she was in talks with Impact Wrestling, where she worked from 2016 through 2018 under the name Laurel Van Ness.

It was announced last month that Chelsea Green had been released from the WWE due to budget cuts. Several other talents like Samoa Joe, the IIconics and more were also let go.
At the time, Impact Executive Scott D’Amore hinted that she could return to the promotion where she wrestled as Laurel Van Ness. );
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Green has been in talks with Impact Wrestling this past week. It’s unknown if a deal has been reached at this time.
