A former Round Rock school district elementary teacher was arrested and charged with indecency with a child and sexual contact on Tuesday, officials said.
Lawrence Doyle was a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Teravista Elementary School for four years and taught virtually during the 2020-21 school year, district officials said. They said his last day was June 1. The arrest was not a result of any incident that took place on campus and the alleged victims are not Teravista students, the district said in a letter to parents on Wednesday. It said the arrest has been reported to the State Board for Educator Certification.
