Elgin man charged with strangling, killing wife

ELGIN, Ill - A 35-year-old man has been charged after authorities say he strangled his wife at their home in Elgin Monday.
Victor H. Ayllon faces two counts of first-degree murder in the strangulation death of his 33-year-old wife.
At about 6:40 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the area of Lawrence Avenue and North Aldine Street for a report of a found child in the area, Elgin police said.
The officers learned that the child, who was unharmed, lived in the 300 block of Heine Avenue.
When officers responded to the above location, they found another child located in a residence, who was also unharmed.

Prince George City Council discussed rezoning an undeveloped area in the Ospika South Neighbourhood (at the end of St. Lawrence Avenue, as well as Southridge Avenue) to allow development for single-family and multi-family homes.

The land is privately owned, so Council doesn’t have as much control over it.
The rezoning was passed, but there were many concerns that were voiced by residents living in the area.
