LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Community Action Head Start will be opening a new facility in Lincoln soon.
Located on 26th and N streets, there will be nine classrooms that will be open seven hours a day at no cost to families.
“Early education is really critical for the health of our community, young adults, but also families. And this will set the stage for our community for years to come,” said Clay Smith, General Partner of Speedway Properties.

What was called a “topping ceremony” for Lincoln Northwest High School was held on Friday as the last beam was put into place.
“We are right on track. We have a lot of positive energy under some very challenging times. So that’s a lot to be said for the team at work here,” said Liz Standish, Associate Superintendent of Businesses Affairs for Lincoln Public Schools.

Caught on the Missouri river, the catfish weighed 77 pounds and measured to be 53 inches long.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Check this out! A man on the Nebraska side of the Missouri River caught a massive catfish.
The video above was sent in by Jeremy and Traci Waggoner.
Jeremy said the catfish weighed 77 pounds and measured to be 53 inches long.
The catfish was released back into the water.

Two girls on an adventure ride got a literal birds-eye view, and it was all caught on camera.

NEW JERSEY (ABC) – Two girls on an adventure ride got a literal “birds-eye” view, and it was all caught on camera.
13-year-old Kiley Holman was celebrating her best friend Georgia’s birthday on the boardwalk in Wildwood, New Jersey.
During the popular amusement park ride that shoots you up in the sky, a seagull flew into Holman’s face.
“When I got shot up, then I saw it. It was going the opposite way and then it came back and hit me right in the face,” said Holman.
