Teen killed in Ōpōtiki motorcycle crash named

A 14-year-old who died after the motorcycle he was riding crashed in Ōpōtiki has been named. Police named Lance Freeman, 14, from Ōpōtiki, as the rider involved in a crash on May 14, a police statement said. The crash, which occurred at the intersection of Bridge St and Goring St, involved the motorcycle and a car, SunLive reported at the time. The police statement said investigations are ongoing into the cause of the crash, and it s likely charges will be laid.

Abrams opens as new COVID-19 vaccination site
