Police: Lancaster Parents Arrested For The Death Of Their 1-Year-Old Child

LANCASTER, S.C. Police say parents in Lancaster were arrested and charged for the death of their 1-year-old daughter on Thursday.
Shaquanda Page, 28, and David White Jr., 26, are charged with homicide by child abuse and six counts of unlawful neglect of a child in this case, according to a news release.

Officers say they responded to reports of an unconscious child on Monday, February 22nd at 9:45 p.m. on Pardue Street, and discovered a 1-year-old child unconscious and not breathing.
Police say the child died after being taken to a local hospital.

The day before 33-year-old Delmar C. King disappeared, he spent the day with his father, Victor Russell, helping his uncle who was dying from cancer.
The pair sorted through the uncle’s clothes, Russell said. He, along with his sister and step-daughter, were his brother’s main caregivers.

LANCASTER, S.C. (WBTV) - A Lancaster, S.C. man and a woman were arrested Thursday for the abuse and death of their 1-year-old daughter in February.
Officers with Lancaster Police Department responded to a home off Pardue Street around 9:45 p.m. Feb. 22 in reference to an unconscious child. The child wasn’t breathing when they got to the scene. She was taken to an area hospital and later pronounced dead.

The body of an adult man that was found in the Susquehanna River Tuesday has been identified as Delmar Cornelius King, 33, of Harrisburg.
A positive identification was made by the Lancaster County Coroner based upon fingerprint comparison. The cause of death was drowning.
The last known contact with King was on March 20 in Harrisburg.
King s body was discovered at noon Tuesday along the shore on the Lancaster County side, police said in a news release.
A kayaker found the body near the Riverfront Northwest River Trail in the 500 block of Vinegar Ferry Road of East Donegal Township, police said
