Sutherland celebrates the fourth
Top News
In celebration of the Fourth of July, Sutherland hosted their 78th annual parade Sunday afternoon.
The Sutherland Lions Club sponsored the event, which had around 60 entrants who participated in Sunday’s parade. Most of the entrants threw items such as candy, frisbees, popsicles, drink koozies and red, white & blue beaded necklaces to those in attendance.
Some of these entrants include but are not limited to: Adams Bank & Trust, Tonia’s Creations, The Scarlett’s Dance Team, Subway and Ambassadors from the North Platte Chamber of Commerce.
The 95 degree weather provided floats such as the Sutherland youth football and wrestling teams with the ability to spray down spectators with water as they cheered for the cool-down.
