COVID-19: Lagos Assembly lifts suspension on Jumat Service

The Lagos State House of Assembly Muslim Community has lifted the suspension on Jumu’a Service in the complex.
The spokesperson for the community’s League of Imams, Mr Adegbite Muktar, made this known in a statement issued in Lagos on Thursday.
The statement said the lifting of the suspension became necessary after the completion of the sanitation exercise in the mosque.
It said that all Muslim brothers and sisters who would be coming for Jumu’a prayers should henceforth adhere strictly to the government guidelines on safety protocols.

The Lagos State House of Assembly has lifted the suspension on Jumu’a Service earlier placed to curtail the spread of deadlier COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement by League of Imams, Lagos State House of Assembly Muslim Community, the lifting of the suspension became necessary after the completion of the disinfection exercise carried out in the mosque.

The Lagos State House of Assembly has lifted the suspension on Jumu’a Service earlier placed to curtail the spread of deadlier COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement by League of Imams, Lagos State House of Assembly Muslim Community, the lifting of the suspension became necessary after the completion of the disinfection exercise carried out in the mosque.
The statement read in part, “The Muslim Community enjoins all Muslim faithful to follow guidelines by putting on face masks while the mosque has provided temperature checkpoints, hand sanitisers, functional hand washbasins with soap and enough water for ablution. Any attendee without a face mask will not be allowed into the mosque.”

Lagos State Government on Wednesday embarked on strict enforcement of COVID-19 safety protocols on staff and visitors at the state’s Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, as part of measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
Recall that the state government has stepped up measures to prevent further spread following rising cases of the ravaging virus amid the second wave.
As early as 7 am when the gates of the Secretariat were opened for normal activities, safety team from the state government, including security personnel were seen screening everyone coming into the premises for clearance.
Those who did not keep to the basic safety protocols like the use of face mask were turned back to get a face mask, while safety officers were checking temperature level, with infrared-thermometer.
