LAHORE: One of the three cubs who were abandoned by an African lioness after giving birth to them on May 18 last, died at the Lahore Zoo here on Tuesday.
After their mother stopped feeding them her milk soon after birth, the three cubs were being hand reared by the zoo staff under supervision of vets.
A zoo official, seeking anonymity, told Dawn that the remaining two cubs were also not doing well and were on borderline because of low immunity.
The body of the cub would be stuffed to put it on display at the zoo museum, said the official.
