(WMC) - A Mississippi sheriff’s department is looking for residents who want to help fight crime from their home. The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department launched a program to use resident’s outdoor surveillance cameras to help solve crimes. Sheriff Joey East said members of the public have already started signing up for the Camera Registration Program. Investigators will be able to use the registry to locate nearby cameras that could have possibly recorded a crime.
