PITTSFIELD Matthew P. Lauro has joined Pittsfield Cooperative Bank as vice president/commercial banking. He will be responsible for managing and increasing the bank’s commercial loan portfolio.

Longfellow taps Cadence team to start its equity business
J. Paul Dokas and
Robert Ginsburg were named co-directors of equities at money manager Longfellow Investment Management, effective Wednesday, spokeswoman Corinne Larson said.
They will lead Longfellow s first move into equities.
Messrs. Dokas and Ginsburg led the equities team at Cadence Capital Management, the equity manager affiliate of Pacific Global Asset Management. In September, Pacific Global announced Cadence Capital would be closing before the end of the year.
Team members
Sophia Ru, portfolio manager, risk manager, are also joining Longfellow.
The Boston-based women-owned firm, which has $14 billion in assets under management, also offers domestic fixed-income, absolute return and alternative strategies.
