The grieving parents of a 28-year-old man who police say died in an Easter Sunday armed confrontation with Birmingham police are demanding answers in the slaying.
His father, Desmon Ray Sr., and mother Lashonda Wilson held a news conference Wednesday outside police headquarters. They were joined by their attorneys Johnathan F. Austin and Richard Rice.
The family said they have not been allowed to see their son’s body since he was fatally shot by police and have not heard from police or city officials since the shooting 10 days ago, despite repeated requests.
