LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Matt Dawson, the recovering Lubbock firefighter hurt in a deadly crash last year, toured his mortgage-free home today. Itâs the first time the West Texas Homebuilders Association dedicated a âHero Homeâ for a first responder.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - While weâve seen stories about wasted vaccine in other areas, the City of Lubbock Health Department has been very careful with their supply, discarding only three out of 45,000 doses.
That is less than a tenth of a percent.
âItâs so valuable,â City of Lubbock Health Department director Katherine Wells said.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - City of Lubbock officials held a virtual news conference on Tuesday at 4 p.m. regarding the weather and power situations.
Lubbock Mayor Dan Pope said, “Currently the City of Lubbock and Lubbock Power and Light are dedicating all our efforts to ensure Lubbock citizens are safe during this winter weather situation. Assuring our electric and water supply and at the same time providing streets that can be safely traveled by our first responders and citizens remains our top priority,” he said in a statement before the news conference.
