Gov. Greg Abbott still wants you to cover up.
After the Texas governor repealed the statewide mask mandate and declared Texas would 100 percent open, perhaps one could assume Abbott is ready for all of us to openly breathe and cough on one another again.
No, Abbott still wants you to wear a mask. He just won t uphold the statewide mandate that said so.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott on Tuesday lifted a state mask mandate and said he was authorizing businesses restricted because of the coronavirus pandemic to open "100 percent."

Gov. Greg Abbott will be in Lubbock on Tuesday to make what his office has described as a statewide announcement.
Abbott did not hint at what he would announce, though he will be speaking at a Mexican food restaurant in the city and will address small business and community leaders of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce.
