LONDON, ONT. During the pandemic London’s Innovation Park has seen a rise in businesses forging ahead with construction of new facilities with several expecting to open by year s end. With that comes more jobs according London Economic Development Corporation President Kapil Lakhotia. Lots of companies have come here over the last couple of years, as you see behind me there are new ones under construction that have just come to London over the last year. Some of the companies taking up residency include Aspire - an alternative protein maker - Quest Brands, which supplies building materials and Anvo Pharma.
LONDON, ONT. Amidst media reports that Amazon may be looking at the London, Ont. region for a massive distribution centre, CTV News has confirmed that two warehouses have been leased in the northeast end. In an email to CTV News London Kapil Lakhotia, CEO and President of the London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) confirmed the leases near the airport. While the news of the warehouses in London is certainly welcome, there may be something bigger coming to the area. Citing unnamed sources the London Free Press reported Thursday morning that Amazon may be looking at the site of the former Ford Plant in Talbotville for a large distribution centre.

It is fair to say that most people did not list a global pandemic as part of their 5-year plan when organizing their life before 2020.
Being a fresh graduate out of college has been known to have difficulties in finding jobs. However, Fanshawe is reporting co-op rates for the pandemic year have been higher than expected.
Darlene O’Neill is the Director of Employment and Student Entrepreneurial Services at Fanshawe College who is excited to support every student in their employment journey.
“We’ve also partnered with Knighthunter and London Economic Development Corporation, and Western. So all the London tech jobs and London manufacturing jobs that LEDC has coming into their job portal, are now automatically funnelled out to us and to Western to make sure that our students have access to them on one site so that they can go directly to our Fanshawe Job site and access jobs.”
From centre stage to cyberspace, London is proving live music is more than essential.
