London Clancy announces merger with Surrey company

A BASINGSTOKE-based commercial property expert has announced it is merging with a Surrey-based company. London Clancy, based on Winchester Road, will join forces with Curchod & Co to form an expanded property specialist . Both firms offer surveying services and provide advice to businesses with commercial property holdings. In addition to its existing offices in Basingstoke, Camberley and Winchester, the enlarged business will benefit from Curchod & Co s representation in Woking, Weybridge, Farnham and Camberley. The name and brand of London Clancy will remain unchanged with founding partners, Jim London and Mark Clancy staying with the enlarged business. Jim London said: We are extremely pleased to be linking up with Curchod & Co, not only is there an excellent geographical fit, but also great similarities in the culture of the two firms. This is good news for our staff and the many occupiers, developers and investors that the firm advises.

Work begins on Basingstoke urban logistics scheme

St. Modwen Logistics is behind the three unit scheme in Basingstoke. The 11.3-acre site will be developed in several phases with the first phase set to complete this autumn. Three units of 36,987, 51,572 and 97,781 sq ft will meet growing demand for uyrban logistics providers. The scheme is between Junction 6 and 7 of the M3 and 2 miles of Basingstoke town centre. “The demand for urban warehouse space in this region continues to grow,” said Andrew Newman, Consultant at Hollis Hockley. Joint agents are London Clancy and Savills. The start on site comes after St Modwen signed footwear distributor Gardiner Brothers & Co, to a 116,000 sq ft unit at St. Modwen Park Gloucester.
