THE investigations into the condition of the Ludlow Town Walls and how they can be repaired is one of the priority issues for Ludlow Town Council in the coming year. It has promised that further investigations will take place but there is no indication of when the work will start, how much it will cost or how the money will be found. But it is anticipated that the work on the listed structure could run into millions as it will have to be taken under a specification that is in line with the historic nature of the walls. Funding is certain to require grants from organisations like the National Lottery and Historic England.
