Lakki DPO takes charge February 11, 2021 LAKKI MARWAT: District Police Officer Muhammad Imran Khan visited the Police Headquarters after he took over his charge here on Wednesday. Accompanying the DPO on the occasion were SP Investigation Gul Naseeb Khan, DSP Headquarters Azmat Bangash and other officials. In an introductory meeting with the office staff, DPO Imran Khan visited Police Lines, Police Barracks, Kot, Malkhana, Police Mess, MT Staff Offices, Investigation Department, PAL, PASS, Online FIR Computer Lab and DRC and other departments. On this occasion, the DSH Headquarters briefed the DPO regarding various departments. DPO Imran Khan said that as per the instructions of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr Sanaullah Abbasi, the morale of the Police Department should be improved.

Cop laid to rest in Lakki Peshawar February 10, 2021 LAKKI MARWAT: The cop who died in Islamabad a day earlier was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Isakkhel village on Tuesday. Sub-Inspector Farman Khan, who was posted at the Ghaznikhel Police Station, had developed some lung-related problem and was shifted to a hospital in Islamabad where he breathed his last. His body was shifted to his native village, Isakkhel, where his funeral prayer was offered and was attended by people from all walks of life including police officials. He was laid to rest with state honour. DSP Headquarters Azmat Bangash and DSP Serai Naurang Iqbal Mohmand laid flowers on the grave and offered fateha and special prayers for his elevation.

Deaths of injured persons: Doctors in Lakki Marwat reject allegations of negligence

Peshawar January 23, 2021 LAKKI MARWAT: The Grand Health Alliance on Friday expressed grave concern over blaming doctors for the death of two people who were injured in a firing incident in Lakki city three days back. Speaking at a press conference here, president of the alliance Dr Muhammad Ibrahim said that the doctors along with paramedics were on duty in the Emergency Ward in the City Hospital when three dead and two injured were brought there. He said the crowd of people barged into the ward and locked the staff members in the retiring room after the two injured expired. “The hospital staff members have all the proof and evidence to ascertain that the doctors and paramedics were present on the occasion and they tried their best to save the injured,” he said.

Sources said Syed Alam and Awal Khan were going to their home in Tajori village after being freed from the Lakki prison, when they were attacked in Baghban locality of the Lakki city. The two men and a passer-by identified as Khadim received multiple injuries and died on the spot. The sources said two other passers-by identified as Jehangir and Mohammad Gul also sustained wounds during the firing. They were shifted to the government city hospital, where they died.
