Lakki ANP to show strength in PDM’s Bannu gathering

LAKKI MARWAT: The district chapter of Awami National Party will show its political strength in the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s public meeting in Bannu on Jan 6.
The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting held at the party’s office in Serai Naurang on Friday. District President Malik Ali Sarwar Khan chaired the meeting which was attended by party activists and office bearers and workers of PkSF, Malgari Wakeelan, Malgari Ustazan and Malgari Leekwaal.
Speaking in the meeting, Malik Ali Sarwar said that the party activists would gather in Serai Naurang from where they would set out to Bannu in a big rally. He assigned certain responsibilities to party leaders and told them to mobilise party workers and people from all walks of life for mass participation in the public meeting.

LAKKI MARWAT: Engineer Latif Ullah Khan and Irfan Ullah Marwat were elected unopposed as president and general secretary of district press club on Monday.
The new office bearers were elected at a meeting here in the press club building attend by members of journalists’ community. The participants expressed satisfaction over performance report presented by the outgoing president and general secretary.
Later the participants elected new office holders unanimously. The included Haji Gul Tayyaz as patron in chief, Engineer Latif Ullah as president, Irfan Ullah as general secretary, Maulana Qutbuddin as vice president, Takrimul Haq as joint secretary, Ihsan Ullah as finance secretary, Muhammad Ishfaq Khan as press secretary and Samar Gul Marwat as legal adviser.The new office bearers vowed to work for the betterment and welfare of community.

PESHAWAR: Provincial Minister for Social Welfare, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr Hisham Inamullah Khan said that the government introduced various development projects including construction of sports Complex for Lakki City and establishment of a separate Gymnasium for women.
He said this while addressing the presentation ceremony on the occasion of cricket final of Jashan Shafqatullah Khan Cricket Tournament held at Lakki City here on Sunday.
The KP Minister Dr Hisham Inamullah Khan said that by the grace of Almighty Allah, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government led by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan is paying special attention to the sports sector as well as various other sectors to resolve the problems being faced by the people.

The provincial government on Tuesday approved 25 schemes with an estimated cost of Rs36 billion.
A meeting of the provincial development working party (PDWP) was held in Peshawar on Tuesday with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Additional Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan in the chair.
The forum considered 28 schemes of water, health, auqaf, hajj and minority affairs, elementary and secondary education, higher education, the board of revenue, roads, transport, energy and power sectors of the province.
