Santa Barbara teen charged with attempted murder is out on bail SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Santa Barbara teenager who police say stabbed a classmate multiple times is out on bail. NewsChannel 3-12 has learned that Cora Vides was released from the Santa Barbara County Jail on February 17, three days after the brutal attack. Bail for the 18-year-old was set at $1 million.  Terms of her release as stated in the Order Setting Bail Modification include mental health counseling and having no contact with the victim. Both the victim and defendant are students at Laguna Blanca, the private high school in Hope Ranch.

Female student accused of stabbing female private school classmate Tracy Lehr SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - A Santa Barbara teen is under arrest and has been charged with attempted murder in connection to a weekend stabbing. Both were students of Laguna Blanca School, the school confirmed. It happened Saturday off school campus on the 600 block of Roberto Avenue in Santa Barbara. A teenage girl was stabbed and taken to the hospital with significant injuries. She is currently in serious condition, according to school administrators. Her suspected attacker is an 18-year-old girl identified as Cora Vides. She was arrested and is being held on a $1 million bond, police said.
