Actor Bill Nighy narrates TV show about the River Shannon and Leitrim Channel 5 at 8pm tonight, Friday, May 7 Reporter: ); Images of the River Shannon and Leitrim, will be beamed into the homes of up to 2 million people across Britain, when an episode of a popular TV series – narrated by actor Bill Nighy – airs during prime time on Channel 5 this evening (7 May) at 8pm. The series, called World s Most Scenic River Journeys, is dedicating an entire episode to the Shannon, from source to mouth – showcasing the spectacular scenery and the wealth of things to see and do all along the river. It will highlight the history and heritage of the Shannon and feature a number of people who live and work along the river. Filming took place here last October, supported by Tourism Ireland.

Hannah Easterbrook (nee Brienton) Saturday, April 24th suddenly at her residence Pre-deceased by her parents Joseph and Kathleen, grandson baby Keith, brother-in-law Freddie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her beloved husband Robert, sons Dessie, Adrian, Gabriel and Declan, daughter Sharon, son-in-law Kevin, daughter-in-law Noelle and Declan’s partner Laura, grandchildren Dylan, Emma, Damien, Anthony and Ciara, cousins, neighbours and friends. Hannah’s funeral cortege will leave her residence on Wednesday morning at 10.30 o’clock to arrive at St. Brigid’s Church, Drumcong for Mass of Christian Burial at 11 o’clock with funeral afterwards to Drumcong New Cemetery. I was bored, with a lot of time on my hands, says Amy, 15, a transition year student at Lough Allen College, Drumkeeran. The trad sessions I play in weren’t happening anymore, school was out – so I decided to set up a business involving something I love – vintage clothes.
