A 13-year-old Lincoln County girl is missing Ruidoso Police Department, in a media release, said Falcon was considered missing and endangered. She is a Hispanic female, around 5 feet tall and weighing 120 pounds. She had brown eyes and brown hair. Falcon was last seen around 1 p.m. on Tuesday at 225 Ridge Road in Ruidoso. She was wearing a black Nike hoodie, blue jeans and red VAN shoes. She would have been carrying a backpack. Anyone with information is urged to call the Ruidoso Police Department at 575-258-7365. Autopsy determines Simpsons died of gunshot wounds An autopsy of the bodies of Jarrod Simpson and Tristina Simpson indicated both died of gunshot wounds, according to a news release from the Village of Ruidoso. Officials with the Ruidoso Police department said that though the investigation is ongoing, no persons  are being sought in connection with the deaths. Officials declined to state whether the case is being investigated as possible murder/suicide or to speculate on the events to led to the deaths. The Simpsons bodies were found April 13 around 3 p.m. in a home on the 100 block of La Luz Drive by officers of the Ruidoso Police Department.

Two dead in home on La Luz Drive The bodies of two persons were found in a home La Luz Drive April 13. Forty-six-year-old Jarrod Simpson and 46-year-old Tristina Simpson were found deceased by officers of the Ruidoso Police Department who were sent to the 100 block of La Luz Drive for a welfare check. A news release from the Ruidoso Police Department said their deaths are being investigated. The Twelfth Judicial District Attorney s Office Major Crime Unit - comprised of the Alamogordo and Ruidoso police departments and the Lincoln and Otero County Sheriff s Offices - are assisting. Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call Ruidoso Police Detective Neal Cox at 575-258-7365.

Arrest made in March 10 homicide near Wingfield Park

Arrest made in March 10 homicide near Wingfield Park Anthony Porras-Gonzales was arrested March 13 at a residence in Ruidoso Downs. Porras-Gonzales is suspected of shooting Briyan Alvarado. Alvarado was found shot near Wingfield Park around 1:35 p.m.  Though first responders attempted life-saving measures, Alvarado died at the scene. Porras-Gonzales is charged with an open count of murder, tampering with evidence and shooting from a motor vehicle. He is being held at the Lincoln County Detention Center with no bond. After countless hours of investigation by the 12th Judicial District Attorney’s Office Major Crime Unit (MCU) which is comprised of the Alamogordo Police Department, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, the Otero County Sheriff’s Department and the Ruidoso Police Department, Porras-Gonzales was apprehended without incident, a news release from the Village of Ruidoso read.
