The Roscommon Women s Network CycleUp Group has won a national award for Outstanding Work in Adult Education.
The upcycling programme trains participants to upcycle textile items from the Roscommon Women s Network charity shop, master skills in sewing, and design and produce products for sale under the Cycleup brand.
The group has won a STAR award at the AONTAS Adult Learners Festival for Sustainable Development through Education.
A special online event will be held tomorrow (Thursday) to acknowledge the contribution all the shortlisted awards have made to the adult and community education sector.
