Disappears in a chemistry experiment - NYT Crossword Clue

why, have I never noticed this? Nina Sloan’s debut theme changes everything I thought I knew about my childhood. Ms. Sloan a first-year student at Dartmouth College who has also been published in The Wall Street Journal crossword deftly points a finger at perhaps the most insidious case of bullying and gaslighting from the cabal known as Big Candy. (Please note that while I am not the type of person who believes in conspiracy theories, I am perfectly happy to start one.) Good for you for being a whistle-blower, Ms. Sloan. This sort of thing needs to be called out and dealt with. I shall require substantial donations of the items in the puzzle as, uh, evidence.

Where do you live? Where and when was your first puzzle published? When was your first New York Times crossword published? How did you get into puzzling? What is your first memory of solving? I got into solving in eighth grade, mainly because I wanted something other than Sudoku to do on the New York Times Games page. Once I discovered the crossword, I solved all of the free puzzle packs as well as the Mini puzzle every day until I could convince my mom to upgrade our Times online subscription.

The Crossword Stumper

The Crossword Stumper Credit.Caroline Oh/NYT Published March 8, 2021Updated March 15, 2021 EMO is a genre of rock music. It is heavily influenced by punk rock and features introspective, emotionally fraught lyrics. The first EMO bands appeared in Washington, D.C., in the 1980s and performed songs that focused more on self-pity and loss than traditional punk bands. In the 1990s, the genre’s influence moved through the Midwest, making its way to the West Coast and slowly became more mainstream. Over time, EMO has evolved into a social and fashion subtype as much as a musical genre. As EMO evolved, the sound became more radio-friendly, appealing to more popular tastes, and shed some of the profanity that was often found in the lyrics of 1980s punk. The pop-punk bands of the 2000s, including Paramore and Jimmy Eat World, didn’t sound like the technical, indie rock-influenced Midwest EMO bands of the mid-1990s, such as American Football and Cap’n Jazz.
