Credit cards A MAN accused of using someone else s bank card to fund an alcohol and gambling binge has appeared in court. Nathan Beckman is alleged to have used the card to spend or withdraw more than £2,000. The 30-year-old faced 17 charges when he appeared before South Cumbria Magistrates Court. He is due to stand trial accused of committing fraud. The defendant, of Roose Road in Barrow, is alleged to have committed the offences between January 16 and 20. Among the charges levelled against him, he is accused of spending £468.50 at the Furness Railway pub in Barrow between around 12.30pm and just before midnight on January 17.
