I had about fifteen winners from Day Two, but narrowed it down to just two teams at the end of the day, which has me very concerned for my mental state, considering they’re historically two of the worst decision-making franchises in the NFL. The Raiders actually had a really smart day in my eyes, as they took what was there early in Round 2 with TCU safety Trevon Moehrig. With back-to-back picks in the 3rd Round, Las Vegas grabbed a highly productive edge rusher in Buffalo’s Malcolm Koonce and then addressed a need at safety with Virginia Tech’s Divine Deablo (a Top All-Draft Name contender). The Jets may have only had one choice, the second pick in Round 2, but they got an instant plug-and-play receiver in Elijah Moore from Ole Miss. The Texas Senate has advanced a new voting bill. Senate Bill 7 passed in the state’s upper chamber in a 18-13 vote on Thursday, after hours of debate.
The legislation would impose several new measures, including limiting early voting hours and stopping the automatic mailing of ballots to all voters.

Griddy to Cancel Texas Power Bills If Customers Don’t Sue

(Bloomberg) Griddy Energy LLC has one final deal for Texans before the power seller shuts down for good: if its 29,000 former customers agree not to sue, the company will cancel electric bills that were about 300 times normal amid last month’s winter storm.

On its first day in bankruptcy court, Griddy lawyers outlined a plan to liquidate, settle with customers and, possibly, arrange lawsuits against those that the company blames for its collapse. The company also won court permission to pay its remaining employees and other routine bills while the Chapter 11 case goes forward.
