WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) The new West Lafayette city hall building is bringing a new opportunity to honor the lives lost on 9/11. In the lobby now stands a memorial wall dedicated to the victims.
This memorial has actually been in West Lafayette for 20 years. It has sat on display in the West Lafayette Public Library up until this point. As the building is going through major renovations, the West Lafayette Fire Department thought it was time to find the memorial a new home.

Clarifying the Clarification on the Revolution Resolution
February 3, 2021
(Chuck Muth) – Last Thursday, Lyon County joined three other counties (White Pine, Elko & Eureka) in passing a “revolution resolution” cutting the legs out from under Nevada Emperor Steve von Sisolak’s COVID-related “emergency directives.”
But on Friday the county posted a “clarification” statement on Facebook that actually caused more confusion…
“The passage of this resolution does not authorize businesses or private citizens to cease following emergency directives in reference to COVID-19.”
Indeed, it appeared the commissioners was back-tracking on the resolution. They’re not. So allow me to try to clarify the clarification…
Emperor Sisolak to Rural Nevada: Up Yours!
January 31, 2021
(Chuck Muth) – The worst beating you’re likely to get as a kid is when a bully tells you to do something, such as hand over your lunch money, and you reply, “No.” Bullies will not tolerate being defied.
Which naturally brings us to Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak.
On Thursday, the Lyon County Board of Commissioners bravely defied the Emperor by
UNANIMOUSLY (5-0) passing Commissioner Ken Gray’s “Revolution Resolution” declaring that the governor has abused his authority in dealing with the CHINA-19 endemic.
The resolution went on to state that “all independently owned businesses are essential” and urged those in Lyon County to operate “within the Governor’s ‘emergency directives’ in good faith,” but allowed them “to determine how and if to implement those directives relative to their business model.”
Last Friday, after weeks of warnings by health officials and police, the county finally shut them down. (It) wasted a lot of our time, the Town of Danville s police department s time. It was causing a lot upset amongst the neighboring restaurants that were complying. There is certainly an issue of fairness there, says Joe Doser, a Contra Costa County Health Inspector.
Doser says on Monday, the owner, Gabe Moufarrej, appealed to the county to be re-opened. (It) included a statement that he was going to comply with the health office order, including not allowing onsite dining, says Doser.
Tuesday afternoon, ABC7 News was there as a county health inspector gave the restaurant the green light to reopen, but only for take-out and delivery.
