No change in Quincy Schools return to in person classes

Courtesy Quincy Community Schools QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Community School District is still planning to return to person to person instruction on January 11. The Quincy School Board gave their monthly approval to the district’s extended learning plan on Monday night after Superintendent Marc Kramer said things were status quo even though high school students in Michigan were able to resume in person instruction on Monday. The district will still be offering a fully virtual program for next semester for those who want to pursue that option. In other business, after much discussion the board approved a motion to waive exams in middle school and high school classes on a case by case basis.

Potts stepping down as Quincy Schools Business Manager

Courtesy Quincy Community Schools QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Community Schools Board  of Education is scheduled during their Zoom meeting on Monday night to formally accept the resignation of Rhonda Potts as the district’s Business Manager. In turn, the board will be asked to approved the hiring of Benjamin Gary to take over as Business Manager on January 4. Potts said in her letter to the district last month that her resignation would be effective on December 31. She is leaving the district after accepting a position with Battle Creek Public Schools as that district’s executive director for business and finance.
