GoLocalProv | Matt Gaetz Moving Time Bomb: UVA Political Science Chair Lawless LIVE

Jennifer Lawless appeared on GoLocal LIVE. University of Virginia Political Science Chair Jennifer Lawless said Congressman Matt Gaetz’ controversy is a “moving time bomb,” as the Florida Republican has been said to be facing a Justice Department inquiry over sex with an underage girl.  “[Gaetz] has held fundraisers for Donald Trump - he actually went to Wyoming to stage an event against Liz Cheney when she voted for Trump’s impeachment so Gaetz has sort of portrayed himself as the next generation of the Trump movement,” said Lawless. “He’s a regular on Fox News, Newsmax…we’re talking ultra conservative in the Trump type of conservative world.”

GoLocalProv | Saturday Afternoon at the Stage Show – Dr Ed Iannuccilli

Monday, April 05, 2021   View Larger + The Fays, an intimate theatre on a narrow street in downtown Providence, was a frequent Saturday destination when I was a kid. Originally opened as the Union Theatre in the 1920s at the intersection of Union and Worcester Streets, it was demolished, regrettably, in May of 1951. The theatre’s Saturday special was a stage show followed by a cartoon and a movie. Not long ago, I strolled the street, remembering the theater’s marquee, its sea of deco tiles adorning the outside, the peninsular stage, and the silver screen. The Fays was long gone, but for me, my memories made it real, again.
