No injuries were reported in a three-alarm blaze that broke out early Friday at a vacant warehouse at 2030 Wright Ave., near the I-580 and Marina Bay Parkway interchange.
The fire was reported just after 2:30 a.m. in the large, two-story commercial building, according to Richmond Firefighters Local 188, the union representing Richmond Fire Department personnel. Responding firefighters found the blaze well-established inside the structure.
“Due to a compromised roof, heavy fire within the building and the vacant state of the structure, a defensive exterior fire attack method was put into action for the safety of firefighters,” Local 188 said in an Instagram post.
