Epidemiologist Dr Avery Hinds made this clear during the Health Ministry s virtual press conference on Monday.
There are currently two WHO-approved covid19 vaccines being used in Trinidad and Tobago: Sinopharm and AstraZeneca.
To date, this country has received 67,200 AstraZeneca vaccine doses from Covax, 40,000 from India, 16,000 from St Vincent and the Grenadines and 3,000 from Barbados. In addition, a 9,000-dose donation from Bermuda is expected to arrive on Monday.

On Friday morning people took to social media complaining that the water in their homes had an unusual feel and smell, with some people complaining of a sticky feel to the water they received.
The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) confirmed in a release hours later that there was a rupture in the chemical dosage line, which affected the treatment process at the plant.

COUVA North MP Ravi Ratiram has asked both the Commissioner of Police (CoP) Gary Griffith and the Integrity Commission to investigate a possible diversion of some food boxes/hampers meant for MPs to distribute to needy constituents.
He complained that a former PNM general election candidate publicly announced on Facebook that she had distributed Namdevco hampers.
The MP asked each entity to investigate whether an allocation of 100 food boxes to the candidate s charitable foundation had been a breach of the Integrity in Public Life Act, and asked Griffith to conduct a criminal investigation.
