The officer dissected the package and saw what appeared to be cocaine coming from one of the prunes, which was examined. Officers from the Preventive Branch of the Customs and Excise Division were called in and the package was seized. A senior official at TTPost complimented the staff on their alertness in deeming the package suspicious. He said this level of scrutiny is consistent with TTPost operating standards and that the package would have gone through a further examination at the facilities of the international courier company that was destined to take the package to the US.
