Expected finish: Sunday 2 January 2022, or until such measures are deemed unnecessary.
Restriction and location:
Temporary closure of Packer Street, from its junction with Nelson Street for a distance of 56 metres in a northerly direction.
Temporary one-way operation on Nelson Street. Vehicles will not be able to travel in a westerly direction between the junction with Church Lane and the junction with King Street.
No waiting for any vehicle in the following areas:
The east side of King Street, from a point 5 metres north of its junction with Nelson Street to a point 39 metres south of its junction with Fleece Street.

Rochdale Council has denied it planned to light up the town’s war memorial for the anniversary of George Floyd’s death after coming under fire on social media.
It comes after the council tweeted a picture on Monday evening (24 May) of the cenotaph bathed in purple light with the message ‘#Rochdale landmarks will be lit purple tomorrow eve commemorating the 1st anniversary of the death of #George Floyd’.
George Floyd was an African-American man murdered in the street by a police officer, who knelt on his back and neck during an arrest in Minneapolis.
Rochdale Care Organisation celebrates Eid Date published: 26 May 2021

The Rochdale Care Organisation, which runs Rochdale Infirmary and community services, held a small Eid celebration on Friday (21 May) to mark Eid ul-Fitr which is a celebration that takes place at the end of the Holy month of Ramadan.
Many staff were on annual leave when Eid was celebrated on Thursday 13 May, so this event for Rochdale Care Organisation staff was held a week later when they would be back in work.
The event was attended by Imam Abdul Hakim from UKIM and Madina Masjid in Rochdale, who was welcomed by Northern Care Alliance NHS Group Chairman, Prof Michael Luger, and Rochdale Care Organisation Medical Director, Dr Shona McCallum.
