Deputies: Penfield carjacking sparks police chase, ends in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC ) Deputies say two boys are in custody after a carjacking at gunpoint in Perinton led to a police chase that ended in Rochester. Deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff s Office say someone stole a car at gunpoint in Perinton around 3 a.m. Investigators spotted the car on 490 a short time later and tried to pull it over, but the driver took off. Police say two other cars were following.

Driver leaves vehicle running in bar parking lot, gets stolen

KAAL-TV Created: February 05, 2021 10:23 AM (ABC 6 News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff s Office said a vehicle was taken from a bar s parking lot in Rochester Thursday night. The sheriff s office said a man parked his vehicle in the parking lot at Shar s Country Palace and Bar around 6 p.m.. The Rochester Fire Department reported the incident occurred around 6:30 PM at 1711 11th Avenue Northeast when the driver of the RPT tried to make it up the hill leading to the Northern Heights neighborhood and was forced to turn around because of the icy conditions. The driver then lost control and the bus slid off the road, hit a tree, and then struck the front deck on the home.
