The shop opened about a month ago, known for its bubble teas and other colorful drinks. Kung Fu Tea is an international brand, selling its products across the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia and several other nations. Locally, the Nguyens own shops also at the Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk in Novi, as well as in Sterling Heights and Rochester Hills. Another Kung Fu Tea is operated by another owner in Canton Township.

Local developers Dan and Donna Cheresko razed a former law office on Main Street in Brighton a few years ago and built two new matching two-story brick retail, office and loft apartment buildings that have changed the face of the block.
Those buildings are nearly filled.
The structures mirror images of each other brought new real estate downtown, including a Buff City Soap makery shop, a potential restaurant space, two offices and four high-end loft apartments.
This week, local businessman Chris Klebba, who purchased one of the buildings from Cheresko last year, was getting ready to open Buff City Soap in a ground floor retail space.
