(ABC 6 News) - We can t be healthy until we re all healthy.
That s what Olmsted County legislators and health officials said they learned during the pandemic. I hope that a more holistic sense of what it takes to have a healthy community and healthy people will carry us forward into the future, Jan Malcolm, Minnesota Department of Health Commissioner said.
Olmsted County put together an event called A Community United - thanking healthcare and city workers for their work to end the pandemic.
Representatives from Mayo Clinic, Minnesota Department of Health, Olmsted Medical Center, Rochester Public Library and county commissioner were on hand for the event.

A celebration of pandemic collaboration came with a warning Tuesday.
“We do need to keep up our vigilance,” Minnesota Department of Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm said to about 160 people gathered at Graham Park for a “Community United” recognition program
It’s hard to believe it’s July already. Keep your eyes on our social media for children’s and family activities including pop-up story times and pop-up crafts. Don’t forget we have passes for museums. Ask us about reserving passes.
Returning materials at Rochester library
Beginning July 6th, returned items will no longer be quarantined. You can continue to put your returned books and magazines in the drive-up drop box, and DVDS and audiobooks in the drop box next to the building by the Children’s Room entrance. You may also bring your returns inside and place them in the Main Desk drop slot if you are here to browse.
