Alexa Hill and Jocelyn Wilson lead the Class of 2021 From News Reports WELLSVILLE Wellsville Secondary School has announced the top two seniors for the Class of 2021. The honor of Wellsville Secondary School Valedictorian goes to Alexa Hill, the daughter of Susan and Jason Marsden. Alexa has earned this prestigious designation by accumulating a high school average of 100.62%. Alexa’s academic record has kept her at the top of her class throughout her high school career and opened doors to many academic opportunities. Some of her academic achievements include the President’s Award for Educational Excellence, the Big 30 Academic Team Scholarship Nominee, the University of Rochester Bausch & Lomb Award, and the DAR Good Citizen Winner.

Morristown Central names valedictorian and salutatorian for 2020-21 school year

Monday, May 24, 2021 - 10:53 am The Faculty, Staff, and Administration of the Morristown Central School District are pleased to announce the class leaders for the graduating class of 2021. This year’s valedictorian is Rylie Showers and the salutatorian is Hailey Ward. Showers earned a 95.15 cumulative average and she will graduate with a regents diploma with advanced designation, as well as completing nine college credits. Showers, the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Christopher Showers and Traci Showers, is a member of the Spanish Club, Yearbook Committee, Athletic Council, and National Honor Society. In addition, she has played soccer, basketball, softball, and has participated in the trap team throughout her high school career.

Farmingdale student receives 2021 Principal’s Award Contributed photo FARMINGDALE Resident Ian Stebbins, a senior at Hall-Dale High School, has been selected to receive the 2021 Principal’s Award. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship. Stebbins, the son of Mark and Karen Stebbins, is the last of three Stebbins brothers to graduate from Hall-Dale. Principal Mark Tinkham commented, “Ian has left an indelible mark on the Hall-Dale community. His presence in the classroom, the pitch, and the court have been a constant positive. At the start of the pandemic Ian noticed that his peers needed greater academic support. In his role as president of the National Honor Society he helped launch virtual tutorial sessions for students in grades 6-12 hosted by NHS members. His involvement and care for others has not gone unnoticed,” according in the news release.
