Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The current Rochester School District Superintendent issued a statement today concerning his decision to step down this summer.
The Rochester School Board late Tuesday night voted to accept the resignation of Superintendent Michael Munoz, effective June 30th. The announcement followed allegations of plagiarism involving speeches and writings that resulted in a petition signed by over 1000 people calling for his resignation.
In his statement, which was included in a message sent out to the families of Rochester School District the students, Munoz apologized for making choices that have set a poor example for our students and for creating a distraction from the school system s mission.
