The North Iowa Bulls win the Fraser Cup Tournament
The Bulls defeated the Grizzlies 5-1 for the team s fourth national title.

KIMT News 3 Sports - Two area teams competed for a national championship on Monday, but unfortunately, only one can win.
Congratulations to the North Iowa Bulls.
KIMT News 3 Sports caught up with the Bulls and the Rochester Grizzlies about what a journey this season has been. This was a really good feeling, personally, for me. It just put the game away. We kind of knew we won it from there and we just needed to finish it up, says Bulls forward Carter Newpower.

ROCHESTER, Minn. - The Rochester Grizzlies are coming off two tough wins in the Fraser Cup Tournament.
Sunday is win or go home and the athletes aren t planning to pack their bags. The first two games was obviously a test for us coming in not playing either of those teams all year long. Kind of showed where we were sitting at all year long and all the things we ve been working on leading up to this tournament, says forward Hunter Wilmes.

The North Iowa Bulls will have a chance once again to leave their mark on the national stage. The Bulls defeated Wilmar on Sunday evening 4-2 to win the West Divison playoff series in the decisive game three. It’s North Iowa’s seventh Fraser Cup tournament appearance in the past nine seasons. They won national titles in three of those appearances – 2013 (USA Hockey), 2014 (USA Hockey), 2016 (NA3HL/Silver Cup).
This is the final season for the Bulls in the NA3HL before moving up to the NAHL next season, taking over for their sister team, the Amarillo Bulls. Sunday, the Bulls said goodbye to Wilmar – who they have played for five seasons – along with their fans as this was the last home game of the season.
