RED OAK – Last week, when a Carrollton girl’s mother Maria Romero Ramos, 45, was found dead and authorities learned her daughter was missing, a state-wide Amber alert went out to find the 10-year-old.
Red Oak Police Department and an observant hotel clerk at the Red Oak La Quinta’s quick actions resulted in the non-violent arrest of suspect Ronald Singer, 35.
The Carrollton Police credited the Red Oak Police Department for being “instrumental in taking [the] suspect into custody.”

A Red Oak hotel clerk is being hailed a hero for noticing that something wasn’t right when a man and his daughter checked into a hotel room one night.
Eli Neri, who works at the La Quinta hotel in Red Oak, didn’t know at the time that the Carrollton police was trying to track down the father and the missing girl.
However, the conscientious young man trusted his gut feeling that something was off about the way Ronald Singer spoke of his 10-year-old daughter, Rosemary Singer, ABC reported.
Clerk Eli Neri said he knew something wasn't right when he saw a man and his daughter check into a hotel in Red Oak. They were the subject of an Amber Alert.
An Amber Alert has been canceled for 10-year-old Rosemary Lee Singer. She was found safe. Her father, Ronald Singer, has been charged in the murder of her mother in Carrollton, Texas.

CARROLLTON, TX â A local AMBER alert has been canceled after a 10-year-old out of Carrollton, TX was found safe.
According to Carrollton Police, Rosemary Singer has been found safe and her father, Ronald Singer, is in custody and has been charged with the murder of Rosemary s mother.
UPDATE: She s safe, he s in custody.
With the help of @redoakpd and @DallasPD, we have located Rosemary and Ronald Stinger. The child is safe and her father now charged with murdering her mother.
