Pearl City was actually here before Boca Raton was here, Brown said. Originally a segregated stretch of 15 acres set aside for Black farm workers in 1915, Pearl City has stood the test of time. Brown added, It means so much because it s prime property. It s rich in history. At the time it was created, Pearl City, a so called brand new colored city, was designated for Black migrant workers instrumental to agriculture in the area.

Two injured in Angola crash The Journal Gazette Two people were hospitalized Tuesday following a crash involving two pedestrians, the Angola Police Department said in a news release. At 7:11 p.m., police responded the O Reilly Auto Parts store on North Wayne Street in Angola. Upon arrival, officers located a 16-year-old boy and a 21-year-old woman who were injured in the crash. Both were taken to an area hospital where the boy was listed in stable condition. The woman s condition was critical Tuesday night, the news release said. Neither victim has been identified. Police say a 2019 Dodge Ram truck, driven by Ronald Brown, 79, of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, was traveling southbound on North Wayne Street when the pedestrians were struck.

Two pedestrians flown out after being hit by a pickup truck in Angola

ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – A 16-year-old boy and a 21-year-old woman were flown to a Fort Wayne area hospital Tuesday night after they were hit by a pick up truck in Angola. Angola Police say the two were struck on North Wayne Street north of Mill Street at about 7:10 p.m. by the southbound pickup which was driven by 79-year-old Ronald Brown of Pleasant Lake, Indiana. The pedestrians were first taken to Cameron Memorial Community Hospital before being flown out by the Samaritan Helicopter. Angola Police say at last report the 16-year-old boy was in stable condition while the 21-year-old woman was in critical condition.
