A former Fort Bliss soldier has been sentenced to eight years in prison in an LSD-fueled attack on his two young sons in 2019.
Zakary Frampton, 27, had taken the powerful hallucinogen, also known as acid, before going on a rampage at his home in far East Side, El Paso police said.
Frampton was sentenced by Judge Patrick Garcia after pleading guilty to two counts of injury to a child March 17 in 384th District Court, according to court records. He was originally scheduled to go on trial last week.
The drug-fueled assault occurred on Nov. 23, 2019, after Frampton took LSD with two other people at his home in the 4900 block of Marcella Santillana Street, police said.
