With the school year not being standard in 2020-21, the Indianola High School has instituted a program to not only stop bullying in the school, but to help acclimate and give advice to younger students in a new environment, the Mentors in Violence Prevention or MVP program. Indianola senior Riley Bussanmas, and juniors Walker Whalen and Anna Young tell KNIA News what being a part of the program can be about.

“Basically just trying to be leaders in the hallway, especially for freshmen who this is targeted towards. We try and lead them through high school and give them a good example, and also to be bystanders in the hallway against things like bullying.”
