Alabama News
TODAY: A large mass of rain and storms is located throughout west Alabama. Temperatures are now struggling to reach the 80s in areas where the rain has fallen. Models indicate that this mass of storms will begin to weaken and dissipate throughout the evening hours. Expect lows temperatures to be in the low to mid 70s.
TONIGHT: Headed out tonight? The rain and storms will begin to dissipate after sunset, as they simply will not have the strength to maintain structure. Tonight will feature mostly cloudy skies, but the potential for a stray shower or two is not off the table. Temperatures will gradually fall into the low 70s across most of the area.

TODAY: Heavier rain and storms have been impacting central and south Alabama today, with temperatures hovering in the low to mid 90s. Expect lows tonight in the low to mid 70s. These storms are slowly tracking eastward, and will taper off into Georgia in the evening and overnight hours. These storms have the potential to pack a punch, with heavy rain and frequent lightning being the main threats.
SUNDAY: For your Sunday, expect an almost copy and paste day from Saturday. Temperatures are expected to reach the low to mid 90s in most spots, with heat index values nearing 100. Rain and storms will be present in the afternoon hours, and some could be on the stronger side; especially if we get abundant sunshine throughout the morning and midday hours to allow the atmosphere to become more unstable. Lows tomorrow will be in the low to mid 70s, as well.
Alabama News
As we progress through the rest of Saturday, expect temperatures hover around 90, with warmer temperatures to the south, and cooler temperatures to the north. Expect lows to drop in the mid-to-upper 60s, which is somewhat uncommon for this type of year. This would mean temperatures across the board are slightly below average. Rain chances stay very low to end Saturday, and will also be hard to come by for the 4th of July. A stalled boundary is situated near the Alabama and Florida border, so some rain and storms could be expected tomorrow evening along that boundary. The same boundary will slowly track northward, bringing minimal rain chances with it as it tracks northward.
