Photo by Riley Cassidy Article content Members of the Municipal District (M.D.) of Pincher Creek council and administration gathered at the Castle Mountain Resort parking lot on Thursday, Feb. 11 for a ribbon cutting ceremony officially commemorating the completion of the Castle Area Water Project. The M.D. was joined by Foothills MP John Barlow, Livingstone-MacLeod MLA Roger Reid, and Castle Mountain Community Association (CMCA) President Kevin Finn to celebrate the completion of the project.

Article content Some Municipal District (M.D.) of Pincher Creek councillors aren’t comfortable with proposed changes to the funding formula of the Pincher Creek Foundation that came out of discussions with the Town of Pincher Creek. Members of the Town and M.D. of Pincher Creek councils met alongside their respective CAOs in January to negotiate a more equitable funding agreement for the Pincher Creek foundation, but some M.D. councillors weren’t satisfied with the result presented during the February 9 meeting.
