RHINEBECK, N.Y. â One person was injured after her car broke a utility pole in half after striking it on state Route 9G in the town on Christmas morning, Rhinebeck Fire Chief Kyle Eighmy said Saturday.
At about 8 a.m. Friday, Dec. 25, the Rhinebeck Fire Department responded to the area of 2747 Route 9G and found the car with the driver trapped inside, Eighmy said.
She was successfully removed and taken to the MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie with injuries that were not life-threatening, he added.

The name of the driver was not provided and it was not clear whether there were passengers in the vehicle.
