Trial continues for man charged in murder, robbery of Bonita Springs woman in 2017
Dilan is charged in the 2017 murder and robbery of Sarah Nicholson, 34.
On Oct. 29, 2017, Lee County Sheriff s Office deputies were called to Nicholson s Squire Lane home about 6 a.m. in response to a fire. Firefighters found her body in the home, the apparent victim of a homicide.
More than seven months later, on June 6, 2018, deputies arrested Dilan at his Cape Coral apartment and he was charged with burglary, robbery and accomplice after the fact to second-degree murder.
An alleged accomplice, Raymond Gomez, also charged with Nicholson’s death, awaits his trial date, not yet scheduled.

A jury has been seated in the trial of a man accused of robbing a woman who was stabbed, beaten and killed.
Christian Dilan, 23, is accused of grand theft of a motor vehicle, burglary, accessory after the fact, robbery, tampering with physical evidence and second-degree murder in the death of 34-year-old Sarah Nicholson.
Nicholson was killed in 2017. She was stabbed and beaten in her Bonita Springs home which was then set ablaze.
A second man, Raymond Gomez, is also charged with Nicholson’s death. Gomez’s trial date has not yet been set.
