Updated: 7:42 PM EDT Jul 12, 2021 Authorities are looking to identify the owner of an abused dog that was abandoned on a street corner in Randolph early Monday morning.Randolph police say the dog was found at about 1 a.m. at the intersection of High Street and Scanlon Drive by a person who does not live in the city.The dog, which will require major surgery for the injuries it suffered, has been turned over to the Norfolk Massachusetts Animal Control and Shelter, according to police.Randolph police are now looking to identify the dog s owner and the person or people who abused the animal. Animal abuse is a serious offense in Massachusetts and will not be tolerated, a Facebook post from the Randolph Police Department said.Anyone who recognizes the dog and has more information is asked to call Randolph police at 781-963-1212 or Norfolk Animal Control at 508-528-3232 option 7.
